Missions 2018 – Africa
Throughout 2018 Westside Family Fellowship overseas missions will focus on building water catchments in the nation of Kenya.
Our main project is fundraising about $8,000 to build a third water catchment in the northern Kenya Masai village of Polonga. They are currently working on the second catchment with the construction of the third set to begin once all the funds have been raised.
Severe drought conditions are affecting Somalia, South-East Ethiopia and North-East Kenya.
These water catchments are a vital method of overcoming the ongoing drought throughout the “Horn of Africa”. Severe drought conditions are affecting Somalia, South-East Ethiopia and North-East Kenya. Our outreach through Kenyan Pastor Paul Ndungu will touch the lives of many thousands of people in the region.
We will be using many methods to raise funds to support building these water catchments including our regular Garage Sales. If you wish to donate directly to this cause simply mark your donation envelopes with the words “Kenya Water” and watch the thermometer in the church foyer as it climbs towards our goal!
