For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
Romans 11:36
This year’s theme for the weekend is All for His Glory. We’ll gather for chapel services on Saturday evening, Sunday morning, and Sunday evening as we take time to worship, open God’s Word, and be reminded of what we were created for: to know Him, enjoy Him, and live for His glory.

LAKE BAPTISM
Baptism is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ, symbolizing the new life we have in Him and our desire to follow Him. We will be holding space for baptisms on Sunday during the weekend. If this is something the Lord is stirring in your heart, or if you are interested in being baptized in Chubb Lake and would like to learn more, we would love to connect with you.

FAQs
Family Camp is designed around three simple rhythms: unplug, connect, and worship. Each day has a few anchor points, but the overall pace is relaxed and flexible. You’re free to join in on activities or simply enjoy the weekend at your own pace, without any pressure to attend everything.
You won’t find a packed schedule. Instead, there’s space to slow down and be present. People spend time visiting, kids play freely, and groups form naturally for sports, games, walks, and time at the lake. The dining hall often becomes a hub for conversation and board games throughout the day, and meals are provided, so there’s no need to cook or plan your own food.
Worship is central to Family Camp. We gather for chapel services on Saturday evening, Sunday morning, and Sunday evening, with worship, teaching from God’s Word, and prayer ministry. Our Sunday morning service is a full gathering, as those who are not staying at camp also come out to join us, since we do not hold a service in Prince George that weekend. Whether you fill your time with activity or take it slow, Family Camp creates space to step away from the usual pace of life and enjoy being together as a church family.
Yes, you’re welcome to invite friends and extended family to join you at Family Camp. Please make sure all guests are included in your registration or register separately themselves, even if they are only coming out for one day.
If you’re staying in a cabin and inviting additional guests, we ask that you share your cabin where space allows. This helps us make the best use of our limited cabins and ensures more families are able to attend. Guests who are not staying with you are also welcome to register for their own accommodations, including cabins (if available), RV/trailer space, or tenting.
If youth would like to invite a friend to camp, they are absolutely welcome to do so. We simply ask that a responsible adult is identified to oversee them for the weekend.
If camp costs are a concern, we can offer reduced fees or waive costs entirely. Please reach out to our camp team or Pastor Lucas so we can support you and ensure your registration is handled properly.
There are three accommodation options available: cabins, RVs/trailers, or tenting.
Cabins
We have a limited number of cabins available, which are assigned based on family size and need. While you can request a specific cabin when registering, placements are not guaranteed. Cabins vary in size and layout, sleeping between 2–10 people, and most include heating. Some have double beds, while most have twin bunks.
We recommend registering early if you’ll require a cabin. Assignments are sent out after registration closes so you’ll know what to expect and what bedding to bring.
There is also an ATCO trailer used for overflow or youth accommodations when needed.
RVs/Trailers
There is plenty of open, non-designated camping space available near the lake and in the field. Spots are first come, first served and are not pre-assigned.
Tenting
Open grassy areas are available for tenting. If you’re planning to tent, be prepared for cooler nights and bring extra layers or blankets.
Chubb Lake Bible Camp is a rustic camp with simple, shared amenities, including:
Chapel for services and indoor gatherings
Dining hall for meals and fellowship time
Small playground with swings
Basketball and pickleball courts
Lake access with a dock and grassy beach
⚠️ There will be no lifeguard on duty. Please supervise your children at all times.
Washroom facilities include separate men’s and women’s bathrooms with flush toilets, along with a few individual shower stalls with hot water.
Meals are provided throughout the weekend and prepared by our kitchen team. The full menu will be released closer to camp and may vary slightly year to year.
We offer some variety, including limited gluten-free options, but we are not able to accommodate all dietary needs or guarantee no cross-contamination. If you have specific or significant dietary needs, we ask that you connect with Erika Giesbrecht ahead of time so we can discuss your situation and do our best to support you.
If needed, you are welcome to bring your own food. We can adjust your registration to reduce or remove the meal portion of your cost and help coordinate limited fridge or storage space on site.

There will be a canteen open throughout the weekend with snacks, drinks, and treats available for purchase, so you may want to bring some cash. This year, 100% of proceeds from the canteen will be donated to Hope For Women.
There are a few scheduled activities throughout the weekend, but we intentionally leave plenty of space for free time.
We’ll have three chapel services, with prayer ministry available following each evening service. On Friday night, there will be a family-friendly movie in the chapel with theatre-style popcorn. Saturday afternoon, we’ll have a cornhole tournament, along with a youth activity later that evening.
Outside of those scheduled times, much of the weekend is open. People typically spend their time visiting, swimming, fishing, and playing board/card games, and you’re welcome to join or start informal games of volleyball, pickleball, or basketball.
Children’s ministry will only be available during the Sunday morning service following worship.
For the Saturday evening and Sunday evening services, we try keep things more family-friendly so children can stay in the service with you. We include camp-style worship and you’re welcome to bring quiet activities, colouring, or books for younger children. Some families also choose to step out partway through if needed, and the playground is near the chapel.
For families with very young children who are already asleep during evening chapel times, many find that baby monitors generally reach from the cabins into the chapel. They do not work well in the dining hall due to the metal roof.
There is no Wi-Fi and cell service is limited. You’ll usually be able to get texts through in certain areas, and may be able to make or receive a call, but it’s not consistent or very strong. Many people find this is a meaningful chance to unplug and be present.
Pets are welcome but need to be on a leash at all times and you must clean up after them. No animals in the dining hall or chapel please!
Family Camp runs best when everyone pitches in. We ask most households who do not already have a previously assigned role, and who have the capacity with young children, to take on one simple camp job during the weekend.
Most roles involve helping serve a meal or assisting with cleanup in the dining hall. You can indicate your preferences when registering, and we do our best to assign something that fits. Job assignments will be posted at camp. If you are scheduled for a meal role, please arrive about 30 minutes early, and you will have time to eat before your shift begins.
We also invite families and individuals, if they are able, to bring some baked goods to share during evening snack time. This could be cookies, bars, Rice Krispie squares, or something similar.
If you have a particular skill or area you would enjoy helping with, feel free to let us know. We are especially looking for help with Sunday morning children's ministry, the drink station, and evening dining hall cleanup. It takes many people working together to make camp run smoothly, and your help allows our camp team to serve well and enjoy the weekend alongside everyone else.
