Christmas Projects for 2018

We have many exciting projects coming up this Christmas season.  Your prayers and partnership to make these events possible will potentially change a life.  We are standing in faith that someone’s eternal hope will change because Jesus is the One we place our hope in.

Hamper Project

This a project we’ve done for the past 4 years now.  Each year we bless families with these food hampers which cost only $25 Cdn.  That’s how little it will take for you to bless a family with a wonderful bundle of food this Christmas. We have 35 hampers on our list to give out. This goes out to all the families whose children attend our Bud Centre.

School Shoes

This year we are giving 100 kids school shoes for Christmas. As well as some school books and stationary. We have reached out to a local school in our village called Piligalla. Many of our kids at the Bud Centre attend this school. Those who don’t attend the school will also be distributed the gift. This came out of Nishanthe’s childhood experience of going to school literally bare footed because his parents could not afford it. He now has the wonderful privilege to help kids have a good pair of shoes on their feet. Its a blessing to be a blessing. The total cost is about $20 per child.

Christmas Outreach

This Christmas day we are going to be on the street just down from our Centre, giving out cookies and tea or coffee, singing carols and a live manger scene. Nish has been hard at work getting permission from the village leader to make sure we have no problems. We are very excited to be able to proclaim the Christmas story to anyone who passes by. We will pass out flyers to be sure everyone around knows about it. We are hoping some contributions to this expense could be possible if God impresses it on your heart to give.

Family Update

We continue to love living just steps from the Centre. Our kids can hardly wait till all the friends come for classes in the afternoons. So far our homeschooling adventure is a hit with the girls and most days are really good. Jayden is growing like a weed and loves having his sisters around to adventure with.

Thank you once again for all your continued support through prayer and financial giving. As we come near to the end of another year we are forever thankful for the healthy budget we have been able to maintain.
