Happy New Year!
We are excited to bring to you our much anticipated update on our Christmas events. I know the festive season has passed and we have all started our year with new goals and plans. But I want to just take a bit of time to share about our trip to Canada, our Christmas and what’s happening now.
Our family had a good time throughout our 4 months in Canada. We traveled somewhere between 25 to 30,000 kilometers in that time. We connected to every church that supports us and some new ones. Plus we connected with friends and family, and we enjoyed experiencing a bit of summer, fall, and winter.
we ended our 2019 financial year with some funds to carry over which was an answer to much prayer
We were unsuccessful in meeting some of our fundraising goals to help stay financial stable for 2020 but we are believing that God will provide for all the needs of the Bud Centre, the staff, the children we serve, and our family. The amazing thing is that we ended our 2019 financial year with some funds to carry over which was an answer to much prayer. This was possible because of the generosity of so many who poured into our ministry over the last few months.
We also want to acknowledge that many of you helped us raise the $3,500 we needed to bless the Bud Centre kids, their parents and other families in the surrounding community over Christmas. Because of this we were able to put on two programs: The Bud Centre annual Christmas program and our Christmas Day outreach. There are so many highlights from these two events and for that please watch our video included in this letter. The other highlights were providing school supplies and books for school children through our neighboring church. Also connecting to a few local schools and offering some assistance to their need of supplies for students. It was a blessing to be a blessings to so many. Thanks Canada.
We have now started our 2020 program at the Bud Centre and we have to say its off to a great start. We are actually rejoicing because of some answered prayers that went forth while we were in Canada. Please see video for details on how we have 42 new students enrolled for our 2020 program.
Thanks again for your commitment to pray for us and your generosity to support the Bud Centre. We are believing for lives to be transformed as we unconditionally show the love of Jesus to the young lives who we work amongst.
Please don’t forget to pray for us.
– Pray for our staff to be united daily, working faithfully and purposefully to fulfill the great commission.
– Pray for our family for balance in our responsibilities as parents and as leaders in our community and work place.
– Pray for the children at the Bud Centre that they will see Jesus in us and desire a relationship with him
– Pray for this 2020 year that God will provide for all of our needs.
– Pray for the up and coming out reach team set to arrive mid March.
From our family to yours,
Kristin & Nish
